2023 Continued Evaluation of Waterhemp Control and Crop Injury in Two-Pass Conventional Variable Rate Tank Mix (CVRTM) Herbicide Programs in Soybean
Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council helped fund Next Gen Ag LLC to evaluate resistant waterhemp populations. Minnesota has seen many resistant waterhemp populations, and without waterhemp control, growers can see significantly reduced yields. This grant funded two studies. The first study looked at soybean injury and yield impact. Whereas the second study focused on waterhemp control. Both had four data collection points and data will be published at the end of the year. Next Gen Ag LLC worked in collaboration with BASF, Bayer, Corteva, FMC, Syngenta, Valent, and Winfield United.
2023 Resistance Management of Waterhemp and Giant Ragweed Industry Programs in a 2-Year Corn/Soybean Rotation
Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council helped fund Next Gen Ag LLC to evaluate resistant waterhemp and giant ragweed populations. Four studies were conducted with this funding. The first study collected data on waterhemp control in soybeans at four different points, 14, 28, 42, and 56 days after application “A”. The second study collected data on waterhemp control in corn at the same four different points. The third study collected data on giant ragweed control in soybeans at again, 12, 28, 42, and 56 days after application “A”. The final study collected data on giant ragweed control in corn and data was collected at the same four points. All studies noted injury as well. Data will be published at the end of the year. Next Gen Ag LLC collaborated with BASF, Bayer, Corteva, FMC, Nutrien, Syngenta, Valent, and Winfield United.
2023 Aphid Plant Health Industry Program Yield Impact in Soybean
Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council funded Next Gen Ag LLC to evaluate both soybean plant health and aphid control. The first study looked at aphid control at four different timings and yield data will be collected. The second study will evaluate plant health and yield data. Data for both studies will be published at the end of the year. Next Gen Ag LLC collaborated with BASF, Bayer, Corteva, FMC, Max Systems, Nutrien, Syngenta, Valent, Vive, and Winfield United.
